Today is the day the youngest royal nugget, Prince Louis, will be baptized, and while the ceremony is sure to be a who's who of the royal fam (looking at you, Meghan Markle), two very important people will not be in attendance. The Queen and Prince Philip will be M.I.A.

Royal reporter Rebecca English tweeted earlier this morning: "The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh will not be attending today's christening. There's no health issue for the Queen. She was working flat out in Scotland last week and has got a busy few days in London with the RAF Centenary event tomorrow and [President] Trump on Friday."

"The Queen & Philip have just spent the weekend together in Norfolk. He is remaining there while she travels back to London today. Her decision not to attend was mutually agreed with William & Kate, while Philip clearly doesn't want to attend public events unless he really has to."

In fairness, the two are 92 and 97 respectively, and they still lead incredibly busy lives packed with appearances. Queen Elizabeth had cataract surgery recently and Prince Philip had hip surgery earlier this spring. So yeah, I'd probably want to take a quick break, too!

Kensington Palace announced Louis's godparents this morning, andPrince Harry and Meghan Markle did not make the list. This actually isn't that surprising, though, because the idea is that Prince Harry and Meghan will be part of the children's lives regardless, so other people should serve as godparents. The more you know!
