Queen Elizabeth wasn't expected to appear in person at this weekend's Platinum Party at the Palace, a special concert taking place outside Buckingham Palace in honor of her 70th year on the throne—but that doesn't mean she didn't make her presence known at the event.

Ahead of the performances, a special clip premiered, featuring the Queen having tea with British icon, Paddington Bear.

In the sweet clip, Paddington (voiced by Ben Whishaw) is having tea with the Queen, and he offers her a marmalade sandwich, which he had stored in his signature red hat.

"I always keep one for emergencies," the much loved children's book and film character says. To which the British monarch replies, "So do I," and proceeds to pull her own snack out of her trademark top-handle bag. "I keep mine in here...for later," she says smiling.

After panning to crowds of adoring fans, the clip features Paddington tipping his hat and wishing the Queen a happy Jubilee, and saying "thank you for everything."

Per Deadline, the sequence has been "kept under wraps for months" and while the above clip which is now featured on the Royal Family's YouTube page is only a minute, a longer two and a half minute sequence aired during the concert in the lead up to a performance by Queen (the band). Per Deadline, Buckingham Palace issued a statement on the short film which reads: “Her Majesty is well known for her sense of humour, so it should be no surprise that she decided to take part in tonight’s sketch. There was an interest in the filming and animation process and the opportunity to invite a famous bear to tea was just too much fun to miss. While The Queen may not be attending the concert in person, she was very keen that people understood how much it meant to her and that all those watching had a great time.”
