Over the course of Queen Elizabeth's six-decade reign, the British monarch has seen more than a few regime changes in American politics. She has personally spent time with 13 out of the last 14 sitting U.S. presidents—Lyndon Johnson was the only one she missed—and this month she will add to that list as President Joe Biden and the First Lady pay her a visit at the royal residence, Windsor Castle.

Buckingham Palace today confirmed the meeting, which is set to take place on June 13, according to The New York Times. The trip will mark Biden’s first presidential trip abroad, and is also set to include the G7 summit during his time in England as well as talks with the European Union in Brussels and a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Earlier this year, the Sunday Times reported rumors that the Queen would host Biden alongside other world leaders ahead of the G7 summit at a "soft power" reception, saying that plans were "being drawn up by royal and government officials to cement the 'special relationship' between the UK and America." Buckingham Palace declined to comment for the Sunday Times story, but the Queen and President Biden were already known to have been in touch. The British monarch sent Biden a private message of congratulations ahead of his inauguration and the President likewise sent condolences to the Queen after the death of her husband, Prince Philip, in April.

Biden's trip will mark a return to form for the Queen and the Palace following a year of pandemic quarantine and the passing of Prince Philip.
