Queen Elizabeth Is Hiring a Planner to Help with Buckingham Palace's Renovation
Buckingham Palace is in the midst of a $479 million renovation that is expected to take 10 years. As anyone who's ever renovated a home understands, Queen Elizabeth II will need a full staff to complete this large-scale project, which includes moving historic works of art, servicing outdated heating and electrical systems, and installing a new energy center. Think you have what it takes to help get the job done? Then you're in luck; the palace recently announced that they're looking for a full-time planner to help with the historic renovation, reports House Beautiful. This individual will help support the strategic planner and facilitate communication between the in-house Programme Management Office and independent contractors and consultants.

The ideal candidate will have experience planning construction projects (historic buildings are preferred), as well as have excellent organizational skills. The candidate is also expected to know how to use digital programming software, specifically Asta PowerProject. "As a confident and diplomatic communicator, you'll build great working relationships with internal and external colleagues alike. With excellent written communication skills and a keen eye for detail, you'll produce documents and reports for a range of audiences, including board level."
The starting salary is £38,000, or a little over $41,000, depending on experience. The planner will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, a 15% employer contribution pension scheme, training and development support, and access to a variety of catering and recreational facilities.
