Queen Elizabeth Attends Church in Balmoral with Prince Charles and Princess Anne
Following yesterday's appearance at the Braemar Royal Highland Gathering alongside Prince Charles and Princess Anne, Queen Elizabeth attended church in Balmoral this morning, where she continues her summer vacation.
Members of the royal family regularly attend the Braemar Gathering, and Queen Elizabeth first attended the event 85 years ago in 1933 as a child. It's more than a little impressive that the monarch has returned to the event so often, and even put in a special appearance in 2018 to open the new World Highland Games Centre.
Traveling by car to church the day after the historic Braemar Gathering, Queen Elizabeth rode alongside her daughter Anne, the Princess Royal, with Prince Charles riding in the front of a car. All three members of the royal family looked exceedingly smart as they arrived at and departed the service, and it's clear that they're spending some quality time together before busy royal duties resume in the coming weeks.
At yesterday's Highland Games, Queen Elizabeth was smiling throughout the day. From being photographed sitting next to Prince Charles as he wore a traditional Scottish kilt, to being handed a bouquet of flowers, the Queen was in extremely good spirits.
The Highland Games traditionally involve a selection of events including the tug-o-war and the caber toss, alongside Highland dance competitions, bagpiping, and track and field events.
In Scotland, Prince Charles is known as the Duke of Rothesay, and it's previously been reported that all of the members of the royal family have different titles while in the country.
