Queen Camilla Shares a Sweet Moment with Her Grandchildren at the Coronation Concert
The Coronation Concert is underway at Windsor Castle—but viewers may have missed a sweet moment as King Charles and Queen Camilla arrived in the royal box. As the newly crowned king and queen arrived and waved to the crowds, Camilla looked down at the stands right near the box and apparently spotted her grandchildren.
Her grandchildren gathered right below, and waved up to her:
Prince William, too, seemed to notice Camilla's family, and pointed down at them. King Charles, meanwhile, continued waving to the gathered crowds:
Her granddaughters, in particular, seemed overjoyed to see Queen Camilla:
Queen Camilla has five biological grandchildren: Lola, Eliza, Gus, Louis, and Freddy. The three boys featured as pages of honor at the coronation service, and appeared on the Buckingham Palace balcony afterwards alongside members of the royal family. At the coronation yesterday, Camilla's custom Bruce Odfeld dress even featured a tribute to her grandchildren (and her rescue dogs): their names were embroidered throughout the gown.
Pictured are more than five kids waving at her at the Coronation Concert, so the others could be other family members—including her grand-nieces and grandnephews (the grandchildren of her sister, Annabel Elliot). You can also spot her son, Tom Parker Bowles, with the children:
In the royal box at tonight's concert, Queen Camilla was seated in between King Charles and Prince William, with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his wife,Akshata Murty, sitting right behind them. For the festive occasion, Camilla chose to wear a royal blue Anna Valentine jumpsuit.
