These boots were made for walking—at least that’s our takeaway after seeing Queen Camilla step out in the exact same Russell and Bromley ‘Dressage’ style not once, not twice, but three times in the last seven days. Sadly, her go-to equestrian-inspired pair ($310) is sold out, but we found plenty of affordable alternatives like this one from DSW ($298; $170) so you can mirror her look.

Camilla, 76, is known for her sensible shoe choices—for example, her love of the editor-tested brand Sole Bliss—which is why it caught our eye that she keeps reaching for this particular pair of black suede boots. What’s special about them? Our guess is the block heel, not to mention the 2.5-inch heel height. Also, the suede material. (Anyone else feel like suede always seems to fit in all the right places?)

Proof the boot is a royal workhorse: In the past week, the queen has been pulling double duty herself as she takes on royal engagement after royal engagement, all to help pick up the slack for her husband, King Charles, who is recovering from prostate surgery. (His daughter-in-law Kate Middleton is also down for the count.)

To name all the recent occasions where we saw the queen and her beloved boots, there was her visit to the Refuge’s Gaia Centre in South London at the end of January. Also, a reception at Windsor Castle to celebrate the new Miniature Library Collection as well as the opening of a new cancer support center at the Royal Free Hospital in East London just this week. Whew.
Clearly, the boots worked with each of her ensembles—and now we want a pair of our own.
