QDOBA Brings Back Fan-Favorite Item Due to Popular Demand

Lovers of the Mexican restaurant chain spoke, and QDOBA listened, with the company confirming that a fan-favorite item is headed back to its menus.

According to a press release shared directly with Parade, QDOBA's Citrus Lime Shrimp is returning, but only for a limited time.

The beloved option, which is sustainably sourced and freshly sautéed in-house daily in a tangy citrus lime sauce, was first introduced in June of last year and instantly became a hit with customers.

QDOBA's Citrus Lime Shrimp is currently available in two chef-crafted entrées: the Citrus Lime Shrimp Burrito and the Citrus Lime Shrimp Bowl. Both entrées come with various toppings, including chile crema, cotija cheese, and pico de gallo.

It's also featured in the build-your-own option and can be added to any bowl, burrito, quesadilla, or salad currently on the menu. The company recommended customers looking for a little extra protein (or bigger portions) pair the Citrus Lime Shrimp with its Surf & Turf Burrito.

"When we first introduced Citrus Lime Shrimp in June 2022, it was inspired by my trips to the Yucatan where freshly caught shrimp are seared over an open fire and served with bright, sour oranges. It quickly became a fan favorite to level up any burrito, bowl, or entrée," QDOBA's executive chef Katy Velazquez stated in the release.

Velazquez continued, "Our guests enjoy exciting twists on traditional menu items, as well as fun and different flavor combinations. Their positive feedback motivated the return of this delicious menu offering for a limited time.
