Before you even order anything at Crave Golf Club, you can already feel the sugar high setting in. From the moment you walk in, a sweet scent fills the air - a one-two punch from the candy shop and snack shack that fill the front of the store - which only gives way to over-the-top delights that may make you think you're hallucinating. You're not.

Why yes, those are lollipops the size of trees, and yes, that off-kilter stack of cakes could fill the bed of a dump truck. The giant props help set the tone of the candy-themed mini amusement park, which includes a bowling alley, an arcade, and two full-size mini golf courses.

There's an indoor course - perfect for rainy or too-hot-to-be-caught-outside days - and an outdoor one, which spans the roof of the building. Every hole is dessert-themed, from an oversized gum ball machine to a peppermint-wheeled train.

It's fitting that the golf club opened in Pigeon Forge, TN, a tourist hotspot known for its dinner theaters and interactive exhibits, like Wonderworks and the Titanic Museum. While Crave welcomes tourists, it was launched just as much with locals in mind, said partner Chucky Blalock. The club's owners also run the nearby TopJump, a trampoline arena, and they wanted to offer another way to celebrate kids' birthday parties. (After all, one can only go to Chuck E. Cheese so many times. Not to mention the nearest one is an hour away, in Knoxville.)

Crave's only been open a few months, but it's already attracting a following, thanks in part to its Instagrammable decor. And must-post-then-inhale milkshakes, which can be topped with all kinds of treats, like sprinkles, chocolate chips, and gummy bears. These days, there's no word of mouth quite like a tag on a post.
