Puppy's Unexpected Reaction to His Very First Bath Is So Irresistible

In a video posted September 29th, a Labrador Retriever owner showed her new puppy is absolutely living up to what the breed was bred for - taking a swim to retrieve water foul like ducks and geese.

This little guy just can't get enough! The puppy, who belongs to TikTok owner @Ellen_a_long, just waits patiently in the tub for his next chance to get in the water. He is just too cute.

The video description reads, "He had his first bath today and he must have liked it because he kept coming back for more."

TikTok users are loving this little water baby and @Drbob says, "He is a water dog, after all." @Coasds had a different experience, and adds, "After my dog’s first bath, he refused to ever go in the bathroom again." LOL! @Donnerdinnerparty replied, "Our lab LOVED water, hated the bath. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE." @Jamie comments,"My chocolate lab always finds her way into the tub too."

You shouldn't give your puppy a bath until they are about eight weeks old because up until that age they have a hard time regulating their body temperature. If your dog is frightened, try again another day.  If you force a scared puppy into bathing, the puppy might hate baths for a long time. Go slow, make sure the water isn't too hot or too cold, give plenty of treats and praise and who knows? You may end up with your own little water baby just like Gus! He's just too cute.
