Their whirlwind alleged romance featured a night in Paris and a $80,000 necklace, before ending just as abruptly as it seemingly began. The pair allegedly dated for four short months before splitting amicably.

Rumors began to surface that the entertainers were dating weeks after a spokesperson for Avril confirmed to E! News that she ended her almost year-long engagement to her ex-fiancé Mod Sun. Speculation of their new romance was seemingly confirmed after Avril, and the “Rack City” emcee were caught kissing and holding hands during a Paris Fashion Week after-party.

They don’t call Paris the City of Love for nothing. Avril announced her engagement with Mod Sun on Instagram in March 2022. Ironically, he popped the question in Paris in front of the Eiffel Tower — the same city where she would seemingly confirm her new ’ship with Tyga.

The duo’s rumored union may come as a surprise to many, but true fans know there is a shared connection between Tyga and Avril: Kylie Jenner. Tyga was involved in an on-again-off-again relationship with Ky from about 2014 to 2017 and then again in October 2019. According to TMZ, Avril preformed alongside Marshmello at the Encore Beach Club inside Wynn Las Vegas. Tyga watched Avril's set from the VIP section of the DJ booth. After she finished, Avril went over to the booth and the two were spotted laughing and smiling. While they didn't preform together, TMZ says that Tyga took the stage himself a little later that night.

Avril finished the night by taking pictures with fans while Tyga waited next to her, before the two left the club together with their group of friends, TMZ reports.

June 20, 2023: Avril Lavigne and Tyga Reportedly Split

Tyga and Avril have split up, according to TMZ. The rumored couple, who first sparked dating rumors in February after being spotted on a dinner date, are reportedly still friends. The relationship had apparently just run its course, sources told TMZ. There was no cheating or bad blood. It seems that the split was a mutual decision.

Both musicians are very busy. Avril is coming off the heels of her Love Sux tour, where she had previously posted an Instagram carousel from the tour showing Tyga walking with her backstage, having flown out to Europe to support her.

As for Tyga, he is in the middle of making new music, having recently released a new single and music video, "Platinum," with rapper YG.

According to TMZ, Tyga gifted the “Sk8er Boi” singer the $80,000 custom-made bling from New York City-based jeweler Eric Mavani. The outlet reports that the chain necklace features 50 carats (!) of white diamonds, black diamonds, and pink sapphires that spell out her first name, first initial, and two skull and crossbones designs. Tyga reportedly initiated the purchase before Paris Fashion Week, where he and Avril were first seen locking lips.

Tyga and Avril appear to be getting closer. Just weeks after they left a dinner date together, they jet-setted to Paris to celebrate Paris Fashion Week. TMZ released photos of the duo hitting up Leonardo DiCaprio's party at Kuku. Avril and Tyga exited a car together and walked very close to each other as they entered the party.
