"Our stores will be closed on Christmas Day in order to allow our associates to enjoy time with family and friends," a spokesperson from Publix tells CountryLiving.com.
Even though you can’t go to Publix on Christmas, there are other grocery stores open on Christmas Day. While there might be limited options at these stores, since most of them are convenience stores, you should be able to pick up extra milk, eggs, and the like.
Is Publix open on Christmas Eve?
Although Publix is closed on the big day itself, the store will be open on Christmas Eve this year from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Like many grocery stores, Publix operates on shortened hours for Christmas Eve. Many stores close before 7 p.m., so make sure that you go by midday on December 24 at the latest to be safe.
