One of the coolest things about this dash cam is that it has a 24 hour parking monitor. That's right — it watches out for your vehicle even when the car isn't turned on. That's particularly useful if someone scratches your car in a parking lot and doesn't leave a note. It has infrared night vision, too.

The dash cam records at 30 frames per second in 1080p, but you can bump it up to 2160p (or 2K resolution) and record at 24 frames per second. Both the front-facing and cabin-facing cameras have a 150-degree field of view, but they can be increased to a maximum of 300 degrees. It's a great option for personal use or for Uber and Lyft drivers because it lets you see what every customer in the car is doing. Rolling autosave also means the oldest footage is automatically erased when the card fills up, so you never have to worry about running out of memory.

This camera is also a breeze to install. It mounts to the windshield and links to an internal power source. There's no battery in the camera, so you don't have to worry about it overheating from the sun. That's a major bonus, especially since the interior of my car reached 102 yesterday.
