Prince Louis of Wales became the main character of King Charles III’s coronation this past weekend, thanks to his priceless facial expressions, which quickly went viral. But as it turns out, the cheeky young royal’s uncle Prince Harry was the original hilariously chaotic royal child.
Because both Harry and Louis have older siblings who come before them in the line of succession, they have always been given a bit more freedom to do as they please. So it’s no surprise that, much like Louis today, Harry was a silly and fun-loving child. When he was a toddler, the now–Duke of Sussex was often captured playing, squirming about, and making funny faces during formal—a.k.a. boring—royal engagements.
Can anyone blame Louis for following in his footsteps?
Ahead, see adorable side-by-side images of Harry and his nephew looking similarly silly during royal outings.
