Pro-tips: How to beat the line for Cedar Point’s Top Thrill 2

SANDUSKY, Ohio (WJW) —  Cedar Point is revved up and ready for parkgoers to experience their newest coaster on opening.

The park opened for the season on Saturday.

Top Thrill 2 is touted as the tallest and fastest triple-launch roller coaster in the world. And, if you want to be among the first to hop aboard — you may want to plan ahead.

“We anticipate these early guests will start lining up and will be first to ride once it opens at 10,” said Spokesperson Tony Clark.

According to Cedar Point’s website, a regular Fast Lane pass won’t get you on board Top Thrill 2 any sooner, but customers can upgrade their ticket with a Fast Lane Plus pass for $115. While this pass gives unlimited Fast Lane access to other rides, a quick jump to the front of the line for Top Thrill 2 is limited to just once because of the ride’s anticipated popularity.

There is one option to get more fast access to Top Thrill 2. According to Cedar Point’s website, a Season Pass Fast Lane Plus package will get riders unlimited access to Top Thrill 2. The season pass costs $950.

The ride has been more than two years in the making, yet lasts just two minutes with those on board reaching a speed of 120 miles per hour and a height of 420 feet.
