Pro Skiers Are Flocking To Colorado For Summer Riding

Woodward Copper, an action sports training facility at Copper Mountain, Colorado, is home to a mini summer park skiing mecca that hosts professional skiers and campers year after year.

Conditions at Woodward Copper's summer park are currently firing, as evidenced by this video featuring legendary rail skier Will Wesson.

Woodward Copper's summer ski camp experience resembles similar operations, like Mt. Hood, Oregon's Windells Ski Camp.

At Woodward Copper, the day starts with campers shredding the slushy summer park setup. Then, in the evenings, campers descend on Woodward's summer training facilities, which feature skateparks, foam pits, and trampolines. I'd be lying if I said I didn't wish I was 14 again so I could be a camper at Woodward Copper. Looks like loads of fun.

Will Wesson, the skier shown in this video, is one-half (the other founder being Andy Parry) of the Line Travelling Circus, a long-running freeskiing web series.

If you're like me and are too old to be a ski camper and can't make the trip out to a summer ski area like Mt. Hood or Mammoth Mountain, California, watching Line Travelling Circus episodes is another great way to abate the "man I wish I could ski" summer blues.
