Pro Skier Stan Rey Ticks Off Black Diamond Trails At Whistler

If you've never been to Whistler Blackcomb, British Columbia, you can familiarize yourself with this resort's massive terrain offerings by spending hours pouring over its trail map.

Or, instead, you could let professional skier and Whistler Blackcomb local Stan Rey be your guide.

Rey tackled three runs in this video: Boomer Bowl, Wet Dreams, and Gun Barrels—all located on the lower portion of the Harmony chairlift's piste.

As Rey explains, conditions weren't great when he filmed this video. The lack of soft snow was particularly notable during Rey's descent of Wet Dreams, which had a considerably high pucker factor.

Of course, if anyone can billy goat their way down a pillow line coated in refrozen mank, it's Rey. The guy's a certified big mountain crusher.

Here's proof.

Thankfully, Rey hasn't had to just brave bulletproof snow this season. He was one of the lucky few (few might be the wrong word, given the lines) who took advantage of the recent powder skiing at Whistler Blackcomb.

While it was a bit hectic up there earlier this month—lines stretched towards the highway at Whistler Blackcomb's base in the morning—the skiing (presumably) made all the waiting around seem bearable.

If Rey's Whistler Blackcomb video recaps piqued your interest, head over to his YouTube channel for more of the good stuff.
