Pro Skier Jibs Fighter Jet

Will Wesson is a freestyle skier, X-Games gold medalist, and frequently appears in LINE Traveling Circus and Level 1 films.

Recently, a clip resurfaced of him jibbing a fighter jet, an insane trick not only due to the technical difficulties, but for the work involved of getting a jet into the park.

Jibbers are skiers who ride things other than snow: rails, stair-sets, boxes, giant globes that look like the earth, that kind of thing.

Jibing definitely has parallels with skateboarding, and is more remenescent of street skiing than big mountain or, least of all, racing.

Those who froth on clean, ankle-rolling carves may not be so enamored with jibing, but for people who watch street ski edits in their free time (ahem, we all should, even if we don't actually go, because we need more life and youthful passion in our ski culture!) tricks like jibing a fighter jet are phenomenal.

The post was shared by CypherSki, which sparked controversy from Andy Parry (the other skier behind LINE Traveling Circus) who commented, "Idk what's more disrespectful the song, or not tagging @linetravelingcircus in the post."

The song, for reference, was IT Girl by Aliyah's Interlude (disrespectful in the best way) and the issue was that both Will and Andy started LINE Traveling Circus, however the clip from CypherSki only mentioned Will as he was the skier performing the trick.

Because the clip was in an episode of the LINE series, the credits were LINE's and not CyperSkis.

As Andy pointed out, "Repost pages are part of the culture now and generally run by someone that is passionate about the sport. However it's also important to show respect with adding context about the clip, what movie/edit was it in, or at least where to watch it."

This particular clip was of Will Wesson in Line Traveling Circus episode 8.2 ‘Swiss Cheese Socks’.

The internet is a brave new world. Good thing skiing is there for us when we're tired of TikToks and viral memes.
