Pro Rider Proves That You Can Have Fun On Any Bike
Jesse Melamed is a certified ripper, that is no question. The 2022 EWS overall champion is more than capable of taking anything with two wheels and going blisteringly fast on it.
That is exemplified here where Jesse can be seen rallying his cross country bike on a trail very much not geared for cross country riding.

For some context here, Jesse is ripping that massive double that most casual riders on enduro rigs would be hesitant to pull for on a bike that is more akin to a road bike for dirt than a modern mountain bike.
That's not to say XC bikes are bad, they are just purpose-built machines for human powered speed up hills, not gassing natural doubles. Unless you're Jesse Melamed, then a bike's purpose is an afterthought and you can rip it regardless of its intention.
It's good to see Jesse enjoying his offseason and maybe instead of a downhill World Cup season next year, he's hinting at giving XC a go. Only time will tell.
