There is big news in the Southeast downhill community. Windrock Bike Park, the heart of downhill in the region, is under new ownership.

Read about how downhill legend Aaron Gwin bought the Tennessee bike park below.

Windrock, a bike park in Olliver Springs, Tennessee, has become one of the most beloved in the US.

Windrock was a passion project of Sean Leader and Neko Mullaley. Leader is a former professional downhiller who was looking for a place to practice in the off-season. He purchased the land for a good deal because it had been a coal mine. On it, the pair built some of the gnarliest trails and started hosting races.

Recently, Windrock added some intermediate trails to become a proper bike park with riding for everyone. Watch the Windrock staff ride a fan-favorite jump trail below.

Gwin owning Windrock seems like a perfect marriage. Aaron Gwin has won 21 world cups, and Windrock is the heart of downhill racing in America. Why shouldn't the best American downhiller in history who is arguably one of the top 3 ever own such an important park for the sport of DH racing?

Windrock is host to multiple stops in the Downhill Southeast series as well as the ever-popular Tennessee National Enduro and Downhill races.

The Rock, as it is called, is not a normal bike park. Rather than a lift, the park utilizes a shuttle up the paved road.

The bike park is very popular among riders, off-roaders, and dirt bikers alike.
