Priyanka Chopra's Green Sequined Gown Featured a One-Shouldered Cape and the Leggiest Slit

A double threat.

When Priyanka Chopra Jonas hits the red carpet, expect her to bring the drama. From a bedazzled naked dress that showed off her black lingerie set underneath to a cropped off-the-shoulder top in an eye-catching fuchsia shade paired with a matching bejeweled skirt, the actress doesn't just show up, she is the show. And of course, last night's 2023 DKMS Gala was no different.  

At the event, which was held at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City, Chopra looked like a goddess in a sequined green gown that featured not only a dramatic one-shoulder cape with its own train, but also an asymmetric cutout at the abdomen and a sexy thigh-high slit. Making her incredible dress the main focus, Priyanka accessorized minimally, adding only a pair of silver metallic sandals and dangly earrings.

She styled her long brunette hair sleek, straight, and tucked behind her ears with a middle part, and rounded out her glam with smoky eye makeup and a swipe of terracotta-colored lipstick.

Priyanka's gown is one that she might not have worn for in the past. Earlier this week, the actress revealed that she wasn't always comfortable with showing off her midriff during an interview with PopSugar. "I was training for a movie recently, and I had a reintroduction with my abs after a long time," she explained. "I hadn't been confident about wearing crop tops and stuff like that. I wasn't sure when I was walking out the door, but I was like, 'Alright, I'm going to push myself.'" 

Over time, Priyanka says she became more at ease with the style, explaining that "eventually" she began adding crop tops into her wardrobe "a lot more." And we're so glad she did.
