Priyanka Chopra’s Sweet New Photos of Daughter Malti Prove She’s Just a Regular Toddler — Right Down to the Messy Clothes

With an internationally famous actress mom and a dad who is part of one of the most successful boy bands in the world, you might think that Malti Marie Jonas would lead an unbelievably lavish life. To be fair, the 2-year-old has traveled more places around the world than most people have in their entire lives. But at the end of the day, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas’s daughter is just a regular, messy toddler — and we love her even more for it!
Ball Pit
The Citadel star shared adorable new photos and a video of her little girl on Instagram Thursday. “🥹😍🙏🏽,” she captioned the post, which is full of sweet moments that show how the A-listers are raising their baby like any other kid.

The first slide is a video, where Malti is dressed in a cute cheetah-print outfit with her curly brown hair up in two tiny pigtails. She’s in the middle of a multi-colored ball pit (you know, like the germ-infested kind we used to play in at McDonald’s back in the ‘90s?), just throwing balls. The “Waffle House” singer is talking to her in the background. “Oh yeah!” he praises, as Malti tosses a pink ball and then a blue ball. She may have a future as a pitcher!
“Malti!” he says to try to get her attention, but she is focused on just throwing the balls. “Good throws,” he says. Such a cutie!
Playtime
In the next photo, Malti is playing at a Gymboree. She is wearing a matching light gray sweater and sweatpants, with a little sticker on her back that reads “Marie.” She is crouched on a platform, playing with a pretend steering wheel and peeking over her shoulder at another little kid in the background. Can you imagine taking your kid to play and seeing Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra Jonas there with their daughter, too? But all kids need fun places to play and learn, so it makes sense they would take her there.
In another photo, Malti wears gray knit pants with white-and-pink sneakers, a white shirt, and a colorful unicorn necklace as she sits in the sand after what looks to be a hike. She’s just playing in the sand and dirt, and her white shirt has a big pink stain on the front. It looks like she got too messy with a popsicle or something, and her parents are just embracing it — because what else can you do? I love how she’s allowed to play and get messy and have fun without her parents stressing about making her look perfectly done up all the time. She’s a kid — she should be allowed to play and explore without worrying about getting dirty along the way!

Growing Up
Malti turned 2 last month, and her parents celebrated with an adorable Elmo-themed party. “Our little angel is 2 years old ❤️,” the “Burnin’ Up” singer wrote on Instagram, sharing several photos of the cute party. Malti wore a pink tiara, pink heart-shaped sunglasses, a pink sweater with hearts, and friendship bracelets to her birthday, which was “Malti’s World”-themed as a play on “Elmo’s World” from Sesame Street. There was red decorations everywhere, an Elmo cake, and even an actual Elmo puppet at the celebration!
In a June 2023 interview with PEOPLE, the “Wings” singer shared some timeless advice for his daughter. “Just be yourself,” the 30-year-old said. “There’s a lot of factors when it comes to just coming into your own skin and figuring out who you are. And if you just take one step at a time and do your best not to get overwhelmed, I think that that’s the best path forward.”
