Priyanka Chopra Schooled Nick Jonas at "Mortal Kombat"

Since making their relationship Instagram official back in June, Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra have become the perfect depiction of couple goals. From hilariously formal first texts to flirting with his fiancée with his own Jonas Brothers lyrics and an awe-inspiring visit to a Mumbai Orphanage, the pair has taken us along their relationship on social media (with us swooning every step of the way).

And the latest chapter in the romance comes in the form of a throwback. Although nowhere near Thursday, on Nov. 18, Nick blessed us with the most relevant #TBT. “Throwback to that time she kicked my ass in Mortal Combat. Safe to say she’s just a little competitive,” he posted to his Twitter alongside a three-part series of pics showing Priyanka ecstatically happy with her win.

Understandably, the tweet sent fans into a whirlwind of emotions. “Awwwww you cuties are couple goals,” one fan wrote, echoing everyone’s feelings. “Such a lovely and lively couple. You two are awesome together,” another one added. One user simply wrote, “[Priyanka] is a keeper!” alongside a glowing heart emoji.

It’s safe to say Nick’s mentions were flooded with positive reinforcement. But for Priyanka, as fans seemed to enjoy this competitive side to the actor. “Yees girl go get,” one user wrote, with a Nick Jonas fan page simply adding, “GIRLS,” with a praise emoji and Taylor Swift GIF.

And while most responses were along these lines some fans took the opportunity to share some gaming advice and grammar remarks. “Was [Priyanka] button spamming and doing the same fighting move to win? I do it all the time and my brother gets so mad,” one user wrote. Another one added, “It’s Kombat... with a K.” with a weeping emoji.

Priyanka and Nick, who confirmed their engagement in August, are reportedly getting married next month at a palace in India, to put the icing on the fairytale cake. It’s nice to remind ourselves that the bride and groom to be, despite how dreamy the relationship might seem from the outside, are only human and enjoy their fair share of healthy video game competition. Perhaps a Mortal Kombat rematch will be a honeymoon activity?
