Priyanka Chopra & Richard Madden Team Up for New Amazon Spy Series

Priyanka Chopra is teaming up with Game of Thrones alum Richard Madden for an all-new Amazon multi-series.

The duo will star in the upcoming spy thriller Citadel, according to Entertainment Weekly. The show’s creators Joe and Anthony Russo announced the exciting news earlier this week during the Television Critics Association winter press tour.

Although they didn’t reveal any further details about the series, the showrunners confirmed that Citadel will be a “multi-layered global series.” All this means is the show will be produced in several languages—including Indian, Italian and Spanish—with Chopra and Madden leading the “U.S. mothership edition.”

Citadel will be written by Josh Appelbaum (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), André Nemec (Everything Sucks!), Jeff Pinkner (Jumanji: The Next Level) and Scott Rosenberg (High Fidelity). The Russo brothers (Avengers: Endgame) will serve as executive producers alongside Patrick Moran (Dire Wolf) and Mike Larocca (Rise of the Planet Apes).

This will be Chopra’s first series regular role since she starred as Alex Parrish on Quantico. Although we don’t know anything about her on-screen relationship with Madden in Citadel, there are only so many options. Will they play co-workers? Friends? Or—dare we say—lovers?

We’d love to hear what Nick Jonas has to say about this. “Alexa, please play ‘Jealous.’”
