Priyanka Chopra Is the New Face of Obagi Skin Care

Priyanka Chopra has been glowing lately, and apparently, it's due to more than newlywed bliss. The actress has inked a contract with skin-care brand Obagi, and is now serving as the 30-year-old brand's first-ever global ambassador.

According to Elle, Chopra signed on to the campaign when she learned that the brand had launched products catered specifically to diverse skin types. As she explained to Elle, "Most high-end, luxury products are not made for people of color, so why the hell are we buying creams for 'all skin types'?"

Chopra's so up on her beauty knowledge that she even referenced the Fitzpatrick Scale, which measures how different skin types react to UV light. "Each individual product has been tried and tested on all six Fitzpatrick skin types, as opposed to just one particular skin type," she says of Obagi. "That makes you feel included." In fact, her campaign is entitled Skinclusion. (Get it?) In addition to a video starring Chopra herself, the Skinclusion site even puts its money where its mouth is with links to resources for recognizing implicit bias in your own life.

We've made plenty of progress when it comes to makeup for all skin types and tones, and Chopra wants to extend that inclusivity to skin care."It's easy to remember a time where people couldn't find a compact, powder, or a foundation to match their skin tone," she said. "When thinking about how far we've come now, we've gone further, but there are so many parts of the world where you still don't have products, especially skin care, that are made to suit our particular individualities. "
