Pringles Skips the Can in Brand New Snack for the First Time in Over 15 Years

Pringles announced an exciting new addition to its snack offerings with the introduction of Pringles Mingles, the first snack from the company without a can in over 15 years.

The new line of Pringles treats is also its first puffed snacks, with three different variations, each one offering a tasty combination of two great flavors. This includes Cheddar & Sour Cream, Sharp White Cheddar & Ranch, and Dill Pickle & Ranch.

Mauricio Jenkins, US marketing lead for Pringles, explained what led to the surprising Pringles Mingles in a press release shared with Parade, assuring fans of the can, "Our iconic Pringles can is part of our identity — and it's not going anywhere — but we're always looking for new ways to innovate and satisfy our fans' latest cravings."

As for what makes Pringles Mingles so great, Jenkins went on, "This puffy, airy snack not only gives fans a new way to experience Pringles, but its easy-to-share packaging creates a new way to enjoy their favorite snack with friends and family, whether munching at home for movie night, at a party or on-the-go."

While the new light and tasty snack is definitely worth getting excited about, Pringles fans will have to let the anticipation build up until Pringles Mingles hit shelves in October of this year. There's no word yet on if there will be more Pringles Mingles flavors added to the line in the future.

Pringles has been experimenting with new flavors and snacks like this a lot lately, with limited-time flavors of the brand's original canned chips like Cheesy Jalapeño Popper and Texas BBQ Brisket popular with many fans. In the case of the Honey Mustard Pringles flavor, the company listened to fans' appreciation and demands and brought it back as a permanent flavor earlier this year.
