Pringles is making a leap into the bagged-snack business with its first-ever puffed crisps.

Called Pringles Mingles, the bowtie-shaped puffs are scheduled to hit store shelves in October. Pringles Mingles will come in three melt-in-your-mouth flavors: Cheddar and Sour Cream, Sharp White Cheddar & Ranch, and Dill Pickle & Ranch. The bowtie shape was inspired by "Mr. P's signature look." Pringles' dapper mascot has always been styled with a bushy handlebar mustache and bowtie.

Most notably, you won't find Pringles Mingles in cans. The company has opted to package them in snack bags instead.

"Our iconic Pringles can is part of our identity—and it's not going anywhere—but we're always looking for new ways to innovate and satisfy our fans' latest cravings," Mauricio Jenkins, the company's US marketing lead, stated in a press release. "This puffy, airy snack not only gives fans a new way to experience Pringles, but its easy-to-share packaging creates a new way to enjoy their favorite snack with friends and family, whether munching at home for movie night, at a party or on-the-go."

Pringles has sold tubular cans filled with neatly stacked, parabola-shaped potato crisps since the 1960s—an innovation designed as an alternative to greasy, broken potato chips. This is the company's first debut of a bagged snack in more than 15 years. Pringles hasn't gone stale, though, as it currently offers around 30 flavors in its lineup of the original snack. They range from traditional potato chip flavors to newer introductions like Enchilada Adobada, Texas BBQ Brisket, Philly Cheesesteak, and a Minecraft-themed Spicy TNT.
