Princess Theodora of Greece Is Engaged to American Attorney Matthew Kumar

Your royal wedding withdrawal symptoms are about to dissipate. Princess Theodora of Greece is engaged to an American attorney named Matthew Kumar, she revealed via Instagram this weekend.

The 35-year-old royal to both Greece and Denmark chose the route of social media to confirm her engagement to Kumar this weekend, sharing several black-and-white photos from the proposal itself. “Words can’t express our happiness and excitement,” she expressed. “I can’t wait to marry this wonderful man. I love you Matt.”

The royal office also released an official statement about the engagement. “Their Majesties King Constantine and Queen Anne-Marie are delighted to announce the engagement of their youngest daughter Theodora to Mr Matthew Kumar,” it read. “Further details about the forthcoming wedding will be provided in due course. Mr Matthew Kumar, 34, was born and raised in Southern California to Sam and Lonnie Kumar. He is a practising attorney in Los Angeles.”

Theodora is the daughter of King Constantine II of Greece and Queen Anne Marie of Denmark, making her a royal by birth to both countries. While the monarchy no longer exists in Greece, she is still a member of the Danish royal family and recently made appearances in her official royal sash.

Theodora previously had a role on the Bold and the Beautiful.

Interestingly enough, she is also the goddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II, whose grandson Prince Harry married American actress Meghan Markle in May.
