For many artists, everything and anything visual is important; from the color of an eyeshadow to the fabric of a vintage windbreaker, it can all serve as inspiration for the ultra creative. And for Destiny Frasqueri, better known as her musical moniker Princess Nokia, beauty is just one facet of her persona. For Bronx based Nokia, whose 1992 is redefining what we think of mainstream rap, performing means taking her aesthetic farther than normal, and this holds true with beauty as well. Her latest venture is her collaboration with Bershka beauty. Bershka is owned by Inditex, the parent company of Zara, with stores all over the world — but sadly none in the United States.

But thanks to the expansive world of the internet, we’re still able to enjoy Nokia and all the #makeupgoals she inspires.

In an exclusive video called “Bershka Beauty with Princess Nokia,” which premiered on i-D magazine online, Nokia describes herself as a poet from the barrio, saying that hip hop is the poetry of the ghetto. As far as her beauty go-to’s, she says that a bold, strong lipid bright eye never fails.

But of course, like the princess she is, she has some wisdom to sling, saying her biggest makeup advice is to learn your eyebrows because “it will change your life.”

Nokia is sharing her wisdom with grace and a smile. She looks stunning in the video, wearing everything from a bold, dark purple lip and cat eye to a simple neutral lip and natural eyes. According to Nokia, her style is casual and laid back — although when she performs, she likes to wear something impeccable and flamboyant. As for her makeup, she prefers something that brightens her up and (hopefully) lasts all day.
