If only Princess Margaret (AKA the younger sister of Queen Elizabeth II) were still around to see this gorgeous debut. The late royal's granddaughter, Lady Margarita Armstrong-Jones, 20, is the cover star for the May 2023 edition of Tatler, and this photoshoot is certainly fit for a royal.

Snaps from the spread (taken by Luc Braquet) were posted to the official Tatler Instagram account, where they wrote, “Princess Margaret’s enchanting granddaughter Lady Margarita Armstrong-Jones dazzles on the cover of the May issue ahead of her 21st birthday.”

The cover sees the twentysomething British noble sporting an absolutely stunning Giambattista Valli dress. The flashy design is covered in pink roses and features puffed sleeves, a bubble skirt and a towering collar. Meanwhile, the bodice features peek-a-boo cutouts that give it the appearance of being wrapped around Lady Margarita's body.

Royal followers are given a greater picture of Lady Margarita in the rest of the caption, which reads: “A bridesmaid for the Prince and Princess of Wales and a regular on the Buckingham Palace balcony, she is the daughter of the King’s first cousin, the Earl of Snowdon, and the most prominent member of the Royal Family you’ve never met.”

Lady Margarita is the youngest child of Princess Margaret's son, David Armstrong-Jones, 2nd Earl of Snowdon, 61, and his ex-wife, Serena Armstrong-Jones, Countess of Snowdon, 53. The couple also share a 23-year-old son named Charles Patrick Inigo.

There is a special reason that Lady Margarita is making her cover debut at this specific time. As pointed out in the Tatler cover story, the royal's grandmother, Princess Margaret, was also photographed for her 21st birthday. To mark the special day, Princess Margaret posed in a cream Dior gown and was captured by photographer Cecil Beaton (as seen below).
