Princess Kate Is Lovely in a Navy Polka-Dot Dress and Pearl Earrings
Catherine, Princess of Wales, stepped out for a day of charitable engagements today in southern England.
The royal visited Hope Street, a residential community in Southampton piloting “a new approach to working with justice involved women.” The community was developed by the United Kingdom charity One Small Thing and is designed to transform women and children’s experiences with the justice system. “From within a healing, trauma-informed, residential environment, women and children will have access to a range of specialist support,” the group’s website states.
Hope Street offers a community alternative for women who would otherwise be imprisoned because of concerns about their well-being. The organization’s specialists educate prison residents to understand how trauma can affect them and to equip them with the skills to respond.
On her visit, Princess Kate t0ured the premises with One Small Thing founder Edwina Grosvenor and spoke with specialists about the work they do. She also met and chatted with Hope Street residents.
The royal looked lovely in a navy sundress with white polka dots. It featured a sailor collar tied with a bow, and large gold and faux-pearl buttons. She paired it with white pointed-toe Mary Jane pumps with black tips, a white mini leather handbag, and pearl drop earrings.
Kate had her hair in silky waves and wore natural makeup.
“We were delighted to welcome HRH The Princess of Wales @kensingtonroyal to officially open Hope Street, our pioneering residential community for justice involved women and their children. Her Royal Highness learned about the unique support residents will receive,” One Small Thing wrote on Twitter.
