Princess Kate Embodies Spring in a Pretty Pink Shirt Dress and Strappy Espadrilles
Catherine, Princess of Wales, kicked off the week with a happy visit to the Chelsea Flower Show.
For the occasion, she looked lovely in a vibrant spring ensemble made up of a breezy pink long-sleeve dress and strappy beige suede espadrilles. The pleated shirt dress featured small buttons at the center and a built-in belt. Kate accessorized simply with gold leaf-shaped earrings and her diamond-and-sapphire engagement ring from Prince William. She wore her hair in relaxed waves and opted for a subtle smoky eye.
The royal was photographed chatting with students and organizers at the London event's first Children’s Picnic this morning, where guests included pupils from 10 schools from the Royal Horticultural Society’s (RHS) Campaign for School Gardening.
The flower show, also known as the Great Spring Show, is held for five days in May by the Royal Horticultural Society on the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea.
After enjoying the picnic with the schoolchildren, Princess Kate joined them on a visit to three of this year’s Show Gardens to "take part in activities including a bug hunt, planning a home-grown meal, and discovering how gardens can support wellbeing," per Kensington Palace.
Since its formation in 1804, the RHS has grown into the United Kingdom’s leading gardening charity, aiming to bring kids closer to nature and teach them valuable life skills and lessons.
In 2019, the Princess of Wales launched her Back To Nature gardens in partnership with the RHS and landscape architects from Davies White; the collaboration highlighted "how time spent outdoors can enrich a child’s early development," per the palace.
