Princess Kate Aces Business Casual in a Sunflower Yellow Blazer

The Princess of Wales marked the start of the U.K.’s Mental Health Awareness Week in style.

Princess Kate embarked on a solo outing to the city of Bath, where she spent some time with young people involved with the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust, a charity that focuses on youth development by facilitating mentor relationships with athletes and bolstering well-being programs in schools and communities.

The royal arrived for the visit in an outfit that aced business-casual dress. Her look was comprised of a ribbed white blouse tucked into a pair of white pleated trousers cinched at the waist by a wide ivory belt with a silver buckle. For a pop of color, she layered with a blazer in a sunflower yellow hue. She finished off the ensemble with white sneakers and diamond drop earrings.

During her visit, Kate met with students from St Katherine’s School in Bristol, who are participating in the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust’s On Track to Achieve program with their athlete mentor, Paralympic gold medalist Liz Johnson. Kate also heard from trust founder and president Dame Kelly Holmes, who opened up about the experiences that inspired her to launch the charity.

Accompanying Kate on the outing was Zara McDermott, a documentarian and mental health advocate who is one of the champions of the princess’s Shaping Us campaign.

Kate launched the milestone campaign in January to continue her long-standing work in early childhood development. Shaping Us aims to educate the public about how the environments and relationships a child encounters in their first five years can greatly impact the rest of their life.
