Princess Ingrid Alexandra's 18th Birthday Was a Royal Affair

Princess Ingrid Alexandra, who is second in line to the Norwegian throne, after her father, Crown Prince Haakon, is finally celebrating her 18th birthday. (She turned 18 in January, but the festivities were delayed until today because of the pandemic.) Last night, there was a government dinner in honor of the future monarch, and then this evening, to toast their granddaughter, Norway's King Harald V and Queen Sonja threw Princess Ingrid Alexandra a glamorous gala at the Royal Palace.

A number of European royals, including fellow future Queens, were believed to be in attendance, including: the Netherlands' Princess Catharina-Amalia, Belgium's Princess Elisabeth, and Sweden's Princess Estelle. In addition, Spain's King Felipe, Denmark's Crown Prince Fredrik, and Sweden's Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel were at the gala, and this weekend marks the first royal appearance of Norway's Princess Märtha Louise and her fiancé Shaman Durek Verrett as an engaged couple.
