  • Princess Eugenie's wedding dresses are currently on display to the general public in Windsor Castle’s Grand Reception Room.

  • In an audio guide recorded for the exhibition, Eugenie reveals that her second wedding dress, a blush gown designed by Zac Posen, was inspired by one of Grace Kelly's movies.

Just as Meghan Markle's wedding dresses went on display to the general public, Princess Eugenie's two stunning gowns are now part of an exhibition at Windsor Castle.

According to Town & Country, Princess Eugenie recorded an audio guide especially for the exhibition, where she revealed some previously unknown details about her iconic wedding dresses. While the royal hopes to get "rid of a taboo" by revealing her scoliosis scar with her first wedding dress, she also revealed that her blush evening gown by Zac Posen was based upon the outfits Grace Kelly wore in 1955 movie To Catch a Thief.

In the audio commentary, Eugenie describes designer Zac Posen as "such a cool, fun, brilliant designer and friend." Elaborating on how her blush wedding gown came to be, Eugenie explains, "I wanted something reminiscent of Grace Kelly in To Catch a Thief so I showed that for reference and Zac came up with this silk that he’d found from Manchester. Every single draping effect, every single detail, every button, it’s all painstakingly done by him and his team."

Several other outfits worn by members of the wedding party are also on display in the exhibition, including Princess Beatrice's Ralph & Russo outfit, and the bridesmaid dress belonging to Robbie Williams and Ayda Fields' daughter, Theodora.

The incredible Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara that Eugenie wore on her big day, and borrowed from the Queen, is also on display for the first time ever. Per the exhibition's official website, "the tiara is made of brilliant and rose cut diamonds pavé set in platinum, with six emeralds on either side."

Princess Eugenie's wedding dress is on display at Windsor Castle until April 22, 2019, just in case you fancy a trip across the pond before then.
