Princess Eugenie has surprised fans and royal watchers by sharing a very special and very sweet photo of her son, August, with his cousin, Sienna.

When it comes to their oldest son, August, Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank have mostly kept the little boy's private life, well, private. And that's for good reason, as they hope that that both August and their second child (due in the summer of 2023) will be able to live relatively "normal" lives out of the public eye.

As royal expert Marlene Koenig explained to the Express ahead of August's birth, "We might get a Christening photo that doesn’t show grandpa Andrew. They’ll probably have a nanny, things like that. Baby Brooksbank is going to have a very quiet normal, private life."

Eugenie's sister Princess Beatrice is equally protective of her daughter, Sienna, and her stepson, Wolfie. Sienna was born in September 2021 and Beatrice made no attempt to share a photo of her baby with the public at all.

This makes Eugenie's most recent Instagram post a delight for fans of the two sisters. As Eugenie shares, she and Beatrice took their children to the zoo for Earth Day—and the two seemed to have such a good time that Eugenie shared a series of photos from the visit, including one of August and Sienna together.

The toddlers are pictured standing side-by-side at a penguin tank in the first photo, and August is pictured in the two that follow while he enjoys exhibits at the BBC Earth Experience.

Eugenie said of the first photo, "August and his cousin Sienna love going to the London Zoo. It's part of the Zoological Society of London @zsllondonzoo a global wildlife conservation charity that helps to restore habitats and protect wildlife. Every time you visit you are supporting their work."

Eugenie also threw in a few photos of herself cleaning oysters alongside the Blue Marine Foundation, who work to restore marine life along the British coast. She explains, "who knew oysters were so cool.. one oyster can clean up to 200L of water a day. @bluemarinefoundation are leading an initiative called @solentseascapeproject which is restoring coastal marine life with a collection of partners making it one of the most ambitious environmental projects in the UK!"

Eugenie and her family are expected to attend the coronation of King Charles on May 6, 2023, which could be her last public appearance before giving birth later this year.
