This afternoon, Princess Eugenie joined the other members of the royal family celebrating Mother's Day virtually.

In a post on Instagram, she paid tribute specifically to her own mom, Sarah Ferguson, but also to all mothers, especially those who are practicing social distancing and away from their children during the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.

"Happy Mother's Day!! 🥳" reads the caption. "Today I want to celebrate my mumma but also all the amazing mothers out there. I would like to celebrate all the mothers that can't be with their children today because they are saving lives or keeping their distance to keep them and their children safe. Today and every day we should tell our loved ones how much we love and cherish them."

She also shared a slideshow of photos, which included vintage pictures of Eugenie with her mom.

Her post echoes that of the Cambridges' this morning. The Kensington Palace Instagram account also shared a slideshow of images paying tribute to the Duchess of Cambridge, Princess Diana, and Kate's mom, Carole Middleton.

Its caption read: "To mothers new and old and families spending today together and apart – we are thinking of you all at this difficult time. Happy Mother’s Day 🌷"

The Sussexes also shared something similar, a graphic of nicknames for moms and grandmothers accompanied by the message: "No matter what you call your mum, this Mother’s Day in the UK, we honour the mums all over the world who do so much every single day, and now more than ever. Thank you ❤️"
