Princess Beatrice's royal wedding is just around the corner, and her sister couldn't be more excited.

Today, after the royal family announced that Beatrice's wedding date had been set, Princess Eugenie took to Instagram to say how "proud" she was of her older sister. She shared an adorable childhood photo of the two of them taking part in their former nanny Allison Wardley's wedding, and added a sweet comment.

"She's so excited.... Today the family announced Beatrice will marry Edo on 29th May 2020. Very proud of this moment," Eugenie wrote. (The young Beatrice in the photo looks about as pumped as today's Beatrice likely is.)

When Beatrice first revealed she was engaged to Edoardo "Edo" Mapelli Mozzi, back in September of last year, Eugenie also posted about her her sister and future brother-in-law. "Beabea - wow!" she wrote, using a nickname for Beatrice. "I'm so happy for you my dearest big sissy and dear Edo. It's been a long time coming and you two are meant to be." Eugenie also shared a slideshow of Beatrice and Edo's official engagement portraits—photos she had taken herself.

As May 29 nears, royal watchers will likely learn more about what Beatrice's big day will look like. Right now, we only know that the ceremony will take place at the Chapel Royal at St. James's Palace, followed by a reception in the Buckingham Palace gardens—and that, unlike other recent royal weddings, the event will most likely not be televised.
