Every year, the royal family attends Christmas Day services at a chapel on their Sandringham estate. And every year, royal watchers get to see them celebrating the holiday, as the Windsors walk as a family to church.

This morning, Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice joined their fellow royals for the annual event. The older York sister, accompanied by her fiancé, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, paired a camel-colored coat with a bold green headband, black gloves and black boots.

For her part, Princess Eugenie chose a navy blue coat, with a matching hat and handbag.

If 2018 was the year that rocketed Princess Eugenie to (more) fame, after her wedding to Jack Brooksbank was televised in both the U.S. and U.K., 2020 could be Beatrice's turn to shine. The princess announced earlier this year that she was engaged to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, and planned to tie the knot sometime in 2020.

Already, though, there have been rumors that Princess Beatrice may forgo the highly-publicized bash in favor of a more private ceremony. "[Beatrice] has talked about having a smaller affair in the past," a friend of the princess told People back in October.

Another source for the magazine backed this up. "Beatrice and Eugenie are super close, but they are very different," the source told People. "Beatrice is more serious and Eugenie is the outgoing extrovert, she’s so bubbly and fun. Beatrice is more reserved and discreet. She holds back more, she is very polite, very well-educated but more formal and quiet in her personalty, so I think it will be a very different wedding to Eugenie’s."

It's also been speculated that the recent scandal surrounding Prince Andrew, Beatrice's father, may put a damper on the occasion. Following Andrew's disastrous BBC interview about his connections to Jeffrey Epstein — which itself came after months of public criticism — Andrew announced that he was stepping back from his royal duties for the foreseeable future. Still, he is a member of the family (if no longer a public-facing one), and joined the rest of the Windsors in Sandringham this morning.
