There's a new royal baby on the way! Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank shared this morning that they are expecting their second child.

"Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are pleased to announce they are expecting their second child this summer. The family are delighted and August is very much looking forward to being a big brother," Buckingham Palace said in a statement.

Their eldest son, August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, was born in February 2021—his middle name is a nod to his great-grandfather, Prince Philip. "Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie was safely delivered of a son today, 9th February 2021," Buckingham Palace said in a statement at the time. "The baby weighs 8 lbs. 1 oz. The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Duke of York, Sarah, Duchess of York, and Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank have been informed and are delighted with the news."

Augie, as he's known, made his first public appearance during Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee celebrations, wearing a sweater with a Union Jack flag.

In addition to the official Palace announcement of her pregnancy, Princess Eugenie also shared a sweet photo on Instagram of August kissing her stomach, writing, "We’re so excited to share that there will be a new addition to our family this summer. 📸 by Jack"

Eugenie and Jack's second child will be 13th in the line of succession when they're born, moving down King Charles's brother Prince Edward and his children, along with Princess Anne and her children and grandchildren. Their new baby will be Queen Elizabeth's thirteenth great-grandchild, and the first born after her passing.

Princess Eugenie met Jack Brooksbank in 2010 during a ski trip in Verbier, Switzerland, and got engaged in January 2018. They married in October 2018 in St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle. Starting last year, they began to split their time between London and Portugal.
