Princess Diana was known for many things: her kind heart, her relatable parenting, and her amazing fashion sense. And while Kate Middleton often takes after her husband Prince William’s late mom, it’s Princess Charlotte who seems to have inherited one particular talent from her grandmother. In a new interview today, the Princess of Wales shared the one way her 9-year-old daughter is just like Princess Diana.

After visiting a prints-works factory called Standfast & Barracks in Lancaster, a 7-year-old girl named Emily May Catto handed Middleton a picture she had drawn of the royal, per Daily Mail. Princess Kate asked Emily what her favorite hobby was, and she responded: “dancing.”

Middleton then dropped this amazing nugget about Princess Charlotte: “My daughter Charlotte likes dancing. She loves ballet and tap … keep up the dancing!”

Aww, Princess Charlotte is a dancer? She seems so focused all the time, we bet she is an amazing dancer. And it’s no surprise because Princess Diana had a fondness for dancing too. She famously danced with John Travolta at the White House and was a patron of the English National Ballet. She also reportedly wished to be a professional ballerina when she was younger, but was too tall, per Daily Mail.

During a recent tour of Ireland, Middleton also mentioned that Charlotte loves dancing and gymnastics. “Charlotte is really into gymnastics, she’s doing cartwheels, handstands, everything,” the duchess said, per Entertainment Daily. “It’s so good for their basic skills of balance and coordination.”

Previously, PEOPLE reported that Princess Charlotte takes ballet lessons at a dance school in South London. “My daughter Charlotte loves dancing,” he told attendees at a Commonwealth reception in March, per PEOPLE.

Her older brother Prince George, 11, also has taken ballet as part of his Year 1 curriculum at Thomas’s Battersea school in London.

Prince William said in a video shared by Kensington Palace, “George is doing dancing as well. He loves it. My mother always used to dance. She loved dancing. And if it’s something you love, you do what you love. Don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise. Keep at it.”

We bet he tells his daughter the same thing!
