  • The National Enquirer is opening a theme park in Tennessee, and one of the attractions is all about Princess Diana's death.

  • Yeah, people on the internet are not happy about it.

Over the years, both Prince Harry and Prince William have opened up about the loss of their mother Princess Diana, with Will even saying last week that it was "a pain like no other." And while one might think that the appropriate thing to do here is to be respectful of their experience and treat Princess Diana's death with a certain amount of tact, the National Enquirer has decided to do things, um, differently, and turn her death into a theme park attraction.

The tabloid is opening a theme park called "National Enquirer Live!" in Tennessee, and if you think that their Princess Di attraction sounds bad, what amusements manager Robin Turner has to say about it won't make you feel any better.

Robin described the attraction as a 3-D computer model to The Daily Beast, saying “It’s projected, and you see the buildings and everything in a 3-D presentation. And it shows the pathway as she left the Ritz hotel, and the paparazzi chasing her, and the bang-flash that we think blinded the driver-and how it happened.” However, “there’s no blood. There’s none of that. You see the car crash through computer animation.”

After the ride (which, FYI, people will have to pay $25 for) attendees "will be polled on what you believe was the cause of her death and who was behind it...We ask questions like ‘Do you think the royals were involved?’ ‘Do you think she was pregnant?’ All we do is ask questions on: what’s your opinion?”

And while Robin also insists that "it’s definitely not in poor taste," Twitter definitely begs to differ, with users calling the ride "f*cking morbid and tasteless" and "sick."

Obviously, it's incredibly insensitive to turn someone's death into entertainment (and to make money off of it!!) especially when that person's loved ones will clearly be very offended, if not outraged, by it. Basically, just don't go to this amusement park or on this ride!
