Princess Charlotte Is Growing Up So Fast! See Her New 8th Birthday Portrait

Happy birthday to Princess Charlotte! Ahead of the little royal's eighth birthday tomorrow, Kensington Palace has released a brand new portrait of Charlotte. Her mother, Princess Kate, captured the sweet photograph in Windsor this past weekend.

In the picture, Charlotte shows off a toothy grin while sitting on a white rattan chair. She wears a white ruffled blouse embroidered with tiny blue and pink flowers.

The Princess of Wales regularly photographs milestone moments of her children, who also include nine-year-old Prince George and five-year-old Prince Louis.

However, the family broke tradition with Louis's fifth birthday portraits, which were released last week. The two new images instead included Kate in front of the camera, while photographer Millie Pilkington was tasked with snapping the adorable scene.

One shot shows Kate pushing her youngest son in a wheelbarrow. Seen laughing in profile, she wears a black-and-white striped sweater and gray trousers. Meanwhile, the young prince is dressed in a cozy bright blue sweater with a red-and-beige argyle decoration, worn over a blue checkered collar shirt and blue shorts.

Besides photographing her kids, Kate has also worked behind the camera to photograph more senior members of the royal family, such as Queen Camilla and the late Prince Philip.

To commemorate what would have been Queen Elizabeth II's 97th birthday, the royal family recently released an intimate new portrait. Kate took the photograph at Balmoral Castle last summer.

In the picture, the late monarch sits on a light green tufted sofa surrounded by some of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, Lady Louise Windsor, James, Early of Wessex, Savannah Phillips, Isla Phillips, Lena Tindall, Mia Tindall, and Lucas Philip Tindall.
