Back-to-school season has begun for many kids, the royals included. This morning, Princess Charlotte headed to Thomas's Battersea with her brother Prince George for the first time. Their parents Kate Middleton and Prince William accompanied them.

Photos were taken of Charlotte arriving at school with her parents and brother. Kensington Palace also shared a video on its Instagram of the big moment. "Princess Charlotte arrives for her first day of school at Thomas’s Battersea, joining her older brother Prince George ✏️📚🏫," the Palace captioned the video.

Charlotte was said to be pumped about beginning her primary school education. “She can’t wait to be with George at big school,” an insider told People earlier late last month. “She is so excited about it all.”

In terms of dynamic, Charlotte is much more of a social butterfly than her older brother. “George is more reserved, and Charlotte is more outgoing,” People's insider said. “Maybe it’s because he’s the heir and one day he might be King.”

Kensington Palace announced last week that Charlotte would be attending her first day of school today with her parents and brother. This is not Charlotte's first day at school ever: the four-year-old princess attended Willcocks Nursery School last January. Her photos then, taken by her mother Kate Middleton, were also adorable.

Back in May, the Palace shared photos of Princess Charlotte that her mom took to celebrate her birthday this year. "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share three new photographs of Princess Charlotte ahead of her fourth birthday tomorrow," Kensington Palace wrote on its Twitter. "The photographs were taken in April by The Duchess at Kensington Palace and at their home in Norfolk."
