After actress Grace Kelly became Princess Grace of Monaco, she started hosting an annual Christmas party for Monaco's children at the palace. This year, her son, Prince Albert, and his family—wife Princess Charlene and their 8-year-old twins Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella—continued the tradition.
Princess Charlene and Prince Albert's twins enjoyed partaking in the gift-giving to other children. The party typically has over 600 guests, and "features gifts, acrobats and jugglers, cupcakes and beloved hot chocolate made with milk from cows at Albert's private residence Roc Agel," per Hello.
The royal twins have been joining their parents more frequently on official outings. Last month, they joined their parents marking Monaco's National Day at the Palace, and were all dressed up:
This is Princess Charlene's return to the annual event since 2020; in 2021, she was in a treatment facility for her health. Recently, Charlene opened up about her health. "I would first like to say that I feel so much better today than I have in recent years," she told Monaco Matin. “I feel less pain and much more energy. I continue to recover, to rebalance myself. It will still take time, but I'm happy."
The Princess added, "My family and those I love are my rock. I approach the future, step by step, one day at a time."
Unlike other royal families around the world, the Monaco royals have yet to share their annual Christmas card. Last year, it was an illustrated portrait of the family of four.
