Over the weekend, Princess Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo "Edo" Mapelli Mozzi, celebrated their first wedding anniversary. To mark the occasion, Edo shared a sweet post on his personal Instagram calling Beatrice "most beautiful person in the world."

"I can’t believe it has been 1 year," Edo wrote in the caption for a casual photo of himself and Beatrice. "Every second of every day since has been so full of joy, happiness, laughter and love. You are the kindest, loveliest and most beautiful person in the world. Thank you my darling for every second."

Beatrice and Edo's wedding was slightly unconventional by royal standards—rather than a large-scale spectacle like her cousins Prince William and Prince Harry as well as her sister Princess Eugenie had, the global COVID-19 pandemic forced the couple to delay, and ultimately scale back their celebration for a private ceremony in Windsor on July 17, 2021. The wed in the Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge, Beatrice's childhood home, in a small, socially-distanced ceremony attended by Beatrice's grandparents, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip. For the big day, Princess Beatrice wore a vintage dress, that was loaned to her by the Queen for her own collection; a glittering white gown by Norman Hartnell, who also designed the Queen's wedding dress and coronation gown.

Earlier this year, Beatrice and Edo announced that they are expecting their first child together this autumn. Edo also has a son, Christopher Woolf, known as "Wolfie," from a previous relationship.
