Last month, Princess Beatrice announced her engagement to Edoardo "Edo" Mapelli Mozzi, saying in a joint statement with her new fiancé that she was "so excited," and "can't wait to be married."

But Edo isn't the only person joining her family. Beatrice will also become a stepmom to Edo's son, Christopher. Happily, it sounds like the princess gets along great with the young boy, who was born in 2016.

"Beatrice is already showing that she’s a fantastic step-mummy already," a source told People. "They’ve been on family vacations together already. They are really happy, there’s no better person they could have for a step-mummy."

In another article from People, a source identified as Beatrice's friend notes that [Christopher] "is very much part of their life." The friend added that "Beatrice has embraced the child as part of her life from the outset."

Reportedly, Edo and his onetime girlfriend Dara Huang share joint custody of Christopher, who also goes by the adorable nickname "Wolfie." Huang, an architect and designer, splits her time between London and Hong Kong, and Christopher stays with Edo while she's working abroad. "I wish the best for Edo and Beatrice and look forward to uniting our families," Huang said in a statement about the couple's engagement, per People.

And as for Edo, friends are equally effusive about his parenting skills. "Edo is easily one of the best dads," People's source revealed. "He is so involved, he is so committed to this little boy... He’s an awesome father, period, end of story!"
