From Town & Country

Details continue to trickle out about Princess Beatrice and Edoardo "Edo" Mapelli Mozzi's surprise royal wedding, which took place at the Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge, in July—including what special gestures the happy couple's friends and family made to celebrate their big day.

Princess Beatrice, for one, received a very special gift for her nuptials: a white silk robe embroidered with "Mrs MM" for Mrs. Mapelli Mozzi. The embroidery house behind the curly, pink design—Hand & Lock, a centuries-old company that boasts a royal warrant and has provided its services to numerous high-fashion labels—shared a look at the present on Instagram. "Mrs Mapelli Mozzi was gifted a silk robe, monogrammed by us, for her special day," Hand & Lock added in the caption. (Sadly, it wasn't mentioned who, exactly, had gifted it to the Princess.)

Apparently, it's something of a York family tradition to mark a royal wedding with a special monogram. The embroidery house also posted a look at a jacket that Beatrice's sister, Princess Eugenie, had customized for the day after her nuptials. "A detailed closed up section of the embroidered biker jacket Princess Eugenie wore for day 2 of her wedding back in 2018," Hand & Lock explained. "We worked with designer Samson Dougal and embroidered Mrs Brooksbank on the back panel with Swarovski vintage rose crystals and edged the text with pink bullion."

Of course, neither of the sisters have actually taken their husband's names—they're still very much Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, though the "of York" has been dropped—but it still makes for a sweet monogram.
