There's another royal wedding on the horizon! Princess Beatrice is engaged to her boyfriend Edoardo "Edo" Mapelli Mozzi.

The royal family announced the news on Twitter this morning.

"We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement," said the happy couple in a statement today. "We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can't wait to be married. We share so many similar interests and values and we know this will stand us in great stead for the years ahead, full of love and happiness."

Per the Palace, Mozzi proposed to the princess in Italy earlier this month, and the couple will wed in 2020 with additional details to be announced "in due course."

Beatrice is the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York, and currently ninth in line to the British throne, meaning that she does not need to permission from the Queen to marry (but given that Buckingham Palace made the announcement today, we're willing to guess that the British monarch is thrilled for her granddaughter.)

Beatrice and Mozzi have been dating for roughly a year at this point, but they've known each other for much longer, as their families are friends. In fact, when Mozzi's step-father Christopher Shale passed away suddenly in 2011, Beatrice attended the funeral alongside her parents.

And once they started dating, things moved quickly.

"They hit it off instantly and have a real laugh together," a source told the Sun last fall. "It wouldn’t surprise anyone if they got engaged within a short period of time."

Several photos of the happy couple accompanied the announcement. See those below:
