Princess Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, are looking back at their first year of marriage together.

Mozzi took to Instagram over the weekend to share a casual selfie of the pair with a sentimental caption honoring his wife and their wedding day. In the snapshot, Beatrice has her hair pulled back and is smiling while sporting a pair of oversized sunglasses, while her husband is wearing a simple white T-shirt and a tan baseball cap.

"I can't believe it has been 1 year," Mozzi wrote. "Every second of every day since has been so full of joy, happiness, laughter and love. You are the kindest, loveliest and most beautiful person in the world. Thank you my darling for every second. ❤️👰💍"

The couple wed in a scaled-down ceremony at Windsor Castle last summer, scrapping their original plans for a more lavish affair due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For their surprise nuptials, Beatrice wore a Sir Norman Hartnell–designed gown, a tiara, and jewels that previously belonged to her grandmother Queen Elizabeth II. Beatrice and Mozzi are also currently expecting their first child together, due later this year.

"Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in autumn of this year," Buckingham Palace shared in a statement at the time. "The Queen has been informed and both families are delighted with the news."

Since announcing her pregnancy back in May, the young royal and her husband have been spotted out and about around London including an appearance at Wimbledon and casual shopping trips.
